MEET RONE
Rone Sparrow is a concert percussion and drum set performer and educator. He is an Army Veteran, having served as a member of the West Point Band at the United Stated Military Academy from 2002 to 2024. Highlights include performances on the Today Show and the Macy’s July 4th primetime special on NBC, multiple appearances at MLB, NFL, and NBA games and concerts at The United Nations and with the New York Philharmonic at Lincoln Center. While living in New York he also performed with the Hudson Valley Philharmonic, The Music Boutique, and was a member of the Analog Jazz Orchestra.
Prior to his time at West Point his career included engagements with the Tabernacle Choir, Sundance Summer Theater, The Drifters, Walt Disney Corporation, and performances at the Montreux and North Sea international jazz festivals.
Rone earned degrees from Brigham Young University and the University of North Texas. He has served as an instructor in public school and college settings and maintained a private teaching studio for more than 30 years.
Now residing near Louisville, Kentucky he has performed with the Kentucky Opera, the Owensboro Symphony, Orchestra Kentucky, and for the University of Louisville.
